Hello

My name is Maribel Falcón. I graduate with my BA in Sociology and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013.  I have worked for several community and arts organizations, including Workers Defense Project, Mexic-Arte Museum, and Cine Las Americas International Film Festival. I am currently a researcher with Mapping Violence - a digital humanities project that investigates historic instances of racial violence in Texas. I am graduating in Spring 2022 with my Masters of Science in Information Studies from the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin. In Summer 2022, I will be joining the staff of the Benson Latin American Collection as the Librarian for U.S. Latino/a/x Studies.
